This Privacy Policy explains how PikuSports Entertainment Private Limited (“PikuSports”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the organiser of the Mussoorie Ultra Marathon, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit mussoorieultra.com (the “Website”) or contact us about the event.
1. Who we are
The Website is operated by PikuSports Entertainment Private Limited for the Mussoorie Ultra Marathon, a running event held at The Fern Brentwood Resort, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, with races from 5K to 50K. You can reach us at info@pikusports.com or on +91-78400 99793 / +91-97171 12084.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Information you give us directly – such as your name, email address, phone number and the contents of your message when you email or call us, or ask us about registration, sponsorship or partnerships.
- Event participation information – when you register for a race, you provide details on the ticketing platform you use (see section 4). The organisers may receive information such as your name, contact details, age category, race category and similar details needed to run the event, issue bibs, medals, jerseys and certificates, and publish results.
- Technical information collected automatically – such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This is recorded in standard server logs and by security tools that protect the Website.
- Photographs and video – we or our appointed photographers may photograph and film at the event, including participants, for results, reports and promotion of future editions.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your questions, requests and sponsorship or partnership enquiries.
- To organise and run the event, including participant communication, race-day operations, safety and medical support, results and recognition of winners.
- To operate, secure and improve the Website, and to detect and prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
- To share event updates, where you have asked for them or given consent.
- To promote the event through photographs, video and results, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Registration and ticketing through third parties
Race registrations and tickets for Mussoorie Ultra are sold through third-party platforms, currently District (by Zomato) and Townscript. When you register or pay on those platforms, your information and payment details are collected and processed by them under their own terms and privacy policies, not by this Website. We do not receive or store your card or UPI details. We recommend you read the privacy policy of the platform you use.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only:
- with service providers who help us run the Website and the event, such as web hosting, email delivery, security and event-timing or photography partners, who may use it only to provide services to us;
- with ticketing platforms and event partners to the extent needed to deliver your registration, race kit and results;
- where required by law, court order or a request from a competent authority, or to protect our rights, safety and property; and
- in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or restructuring, where the information continues to be protected.
Event results (for example your name, race category and finishing time) may be published on the Website, social media or in the press.
6. Cookies and third-party content
The Website uses only a minimal set of cookies. Please see our Cookie Policy for details. The Website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers and your IP address is shared with Google when a page loads. The Website also contains links to third-party websites and social media pages (such as Facebook, Instagram, District, Townscript, PikuSports and news outlets). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to run and follow up on the event, to keep records such as results, and to meet legal and accounting requirements. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information, including a firewall and malware protection on the Website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Website is not directed at children. Participants under 18 may take part in certain race categories only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who should register on their behalf. If you believe a child has given us personal information without guardian consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw any consent you have given, and unsubscribe from event communication. You may also ask us to remove a photograph in which you appear. To make a request, email info@pikusports.com from the address linked to your information. We will respond within a reasonable time.
11. Grievances
If you have a concern about how your information is handled, write to us at info@pikusports.com with the subject line “Privacy Grievance”. We will acknowledge and address your concern within a reasonable time as required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
